YOUTH COACHING STAFF 

Branden Clark 

Branden Clark is a graduate of Shady Spring High School, located in Southern West Virginia.  During his High School career, Branden amassed a 132-4 record while winning a State Championship and appeared in the State Finals three times.

 

Branden continued his wrestling career at West Virginia University under Head Coach Craig Turnbull and legendary Assistant Coaches Nate Carr and Zeke Jones.  Branden was a mulit-letterman and in his time at West Virginia University, the team earned two top 10 finishes at the NCAA National Tournament.

More recently, Branden coached 11 seasons with Hilliard Darby and now is taking the lead with the Hilliard Youth Wrestling Club. 

BLAKE SCIPIO

Blake Scipio is a graduate of Hilliard Bradley High School.  His wrestling career started at the age of 5, wrestling for Coach John Riggs in the Hilliard Mat Cats Youth Wrestling program.  During his High School career, Blake was a 3-sport Varsity athlete, participating in wrestling, football and track and field.  
 

After High School, Blake elected to continue his football career as a Defensive Back at Ohio University, playing for Coach Frank Solich.  During this time, Ohio University appeared in (3) bowl games and achieved AP Poll Top 25 status.
 

Blake Assisted with the Hilliard Youth Wrestling Club during the 2024-2025 season.

JIMMY EDWARDS

Coach Jimmy Edwards was a state champion wrestler at Westland High School. Jimmy continued his career at LSU where he was a D1 NCAA All-America. Coach Jimmy has helped teams and clubs all across central Ohio including Hilliard Darby, Ohio Capitals Club, Westland, Bishop Ready, Crazy Goats Club, Bishop Watterson and now Hilliard Youth Wrestling Club.
